QUEALLY AIMS TO TURN ON THE STYLE
JOCKEY Tom Queally is aiming to be more stylish than ever in the saddle after teaming up with leisurewear giants JD Sports Fashion. Queally has signed a sponsorship deal that will see him wear JD Sports Fashion branding in races.
The move comes just weeks after the company announced a 20 per cent increase in revenue to £1.8bn and Queally is delighted to join forces with them.
Irishman Queally, who has won Group races all around the world, said: “I’m very pleased to have this new role. The new season is now warming up nicely and I’m looking forward to having many more winners as I promote a market leader like JD Sports Fashion.”
Queally is best known for his successful association with the late Sir Henry Cecil, for whom he was first jockey. He rode Sir Henry’s brilliant stable star Frankel throughout his 14-race career- winning streak.
It is the company’s first venture into horse racing and Stephen White, Group Marketing Director of JD Sports Fashion, said: “We are delighted to welcome Tom on board. Having a top, Classic-winning jockey like Tom as our ambassador is marvellous news.”
